My name is Doug Simpson, and fishing has been my passion for over 20 years. Primarily a Bass and Panfish Fisherman in the Midwest. In 2008 I was stationed in Alaska where I broadened my fishing to Trout, Salmon and Halibut. That was around the time that I heard about kayak fishing. I borrowed a kayak from a friend and was hooked, pardon the pun. It wasn't until 2011, when I was relocated to Northwest Florida, when I was able to purchase my very own kayak. My Malibu Mini X has seen a lot of action from freshwater lakes, to the Gulf of Mexico and everything in between. I still fish in a boat from time to time, but I prefer kayaking. I'm no expert or fishing guide, just an avid weekend angler who wants to spread the word about this awesome sport.
